Kangaroo Program
Promotes skin-to-skin contact between mother and baby, exclusive breastfeeding, and stimulation for premature or low birth weight newborns.
Retinopathy of Prematurity Program
Focuses on early detection, prevention, and treatment of retinopathy of prematurity in premature babies.
Non-Invasive Ventilation Program
Provides bubble CPAP machines and training to hospitals for treating respiratory distress syndrome in newborns.
Neonatal Resuscitation Project
Trains nurses and physicians in neonatal resuscitation techniques and provides necessary equipment.
Prevention of Kernicterus
Aims to detect jaundice early and prevent kernicterus in newborns through bilirubin testing and monitoring.
Rural Nurse of the Eastern Region Education Program
Empowers nurses in the Eastern region of the Dominican Republic to reduce preventable deaths of mothers and newborns.
Prevention of Infections in Mothers & Babies
Identifies and prevents Group B Streptococcus infections in pregnant women and newborns.
