About
The Dominican Literacy Center Chicago, founded in 2002, empowers adults through English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction. Volunteers provide personalized tutoring, helping students develop reading, writing, and speaking skills. They also assist immigrants in preparing for the U.S. Naturalization test, guiding them toward citizenship and greater community engagement.
Mission
The Dominican Literacy Center empowers immigrant men and women by helping them learn to read, write, and speak English. Volunteers, staff, and donors work together to support the learning community.
