The Dorothy Day House of Hospitality, founded in 2009 by the Sisters of the Humility of Mary and the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown, provides hospitality services in the spirit of Dorothy Day. Located in Youngstown, OH, it offers evening meals Monday-Thursday, showers, fresh produce, and a welcoming community to those in need. Volunteers run the organization, committed to love, respect, and friendship for all guests.
Mission
In the spirit of Dorothy Day, the Youngstown Catholic Worker is a community founded on personal relationships, committed to learning and living the gospel of love through hospitality and peaceful resistance to injustice, feeding the hungry and sheltering the homeless.
