About
Founded in 1966, Down East Yacht Club started as a "FUN CLUB" among yachtsmen at Boatel Marina in Boothbay Harbor, ME. Offering social activities and promoting yachting, it quickly grew from 13 to 77 members by 1967. Today, the club continues to foster fellowship with events like cruises and cocktail parties.
Mission
Established in 1966, the Down East Yacht Club is known as The Fun Club, with members enjoying activities year round. The club's burgee can be seen along the East and West coasts.
