Offers students opportunities for outreach and service to the homeless and working poor through soup kitchens, shelters, food pantries, free stores, learning centers.

Creates opportunities for students to make a difference through direct service, such as mission trips to experience the effects of poverty.

Creates and participates in seminars on campuses and in the community, organizing seminars held on location at various trips and outings.

The Downtowners, founded in 1973, is an interfaith campus ministry serving over 35,000 students at downtown Columbus colleges and universities. It provides a caring presence to enhance the quality of life and make life sacred for all. The ministry serves the spiritual, educational, and social needs of urban students of all faiths.

The Downtowners welcomes students of all faiths attending the colleges and universities of downtown Columbus. They provide spiritual, educational, and social support, fostering reflection, service, and joyful fellowship.
