The Elgin Sports Hall of Fame Foundation, founded in 1989, is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to recognizing outstanding athletic achievements by Elgin athletes, coaches, and friends of sports through induction into the Hall of Fame. They also award monetary scholarships to student-athletes and celebrate Elgin's sports history. Since 1980, they've inducted 209 members, honoring their contributions to various sports.
