About
The Elkhart County Historical Museum, est. 1968 as a partnership between the Elkhart County Parks Dept. and the Elkhart County Historical Society, tells the ongoing story of Elkhart County. Through exhibits, educational programs, and accessible archives, the museum fosters appreciation and preservation of local history and culture. Its collection features over 30,000 artifacts reflecting the county’s cultural heritage.
Mission
The Elkhart County Historical Society serves present and future generations by collecting, preserving, and sharing artifacts, documents, and images pertaining to the unique culture and history of Elkhart County and its environs.
