Encompass New Opera Theatre, founded in 1976, creates, develops, and produces adventurous new music theatre and contemporary opera. It revives important musical works and champions American composers, dramatists, singers, and musicians. With over 69 full-scale productions and 166 staged readings, Encompass is dedicated to widening the recognition of American music, jazz, cabaret, musicals, and opera.
