Traditional K-12 Mentoring
Mentors build positive relationships and provide ongoing support to students in school throughout the academic year.
College Mentoring
Mentors assist eligible high school students with the college admissions process, especially first-generation students needing resources.
Academic Coaching
Mentors help students develop essential strategies such as time management and organizational skills.
Pathways Program
Mentors provide career experience, social connection, and introductions to career information to students at risk of leaving school.
Classroom Help
Volunteers provide a helping hand to teachers by working with students in the classroom.
Tutoring
Volunteer tutors bring their expertise to students of all ages, helping them handle coursework and reinforce concepts.
Cross-Age Science Teaching (CAST)
Eighth graders serve as peer teachers to third graders in a hands-on program that brings the elementary science curriculum to life.
Small Group and 1:1 Instruction
Volunteers support students individually or in groups to develop a deeper understanding of the curriculum.
Junior Achievement
Volunteers facilitate a Junior Achievement curriculum for elementary students, discussing entrepreneurship and business.

Falmouth Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS), founded in 1994, enriches the lives of students by promoting volunteerism, creating impactful programs, and forging community partnerships. VIPS offers mentorship, enrichment, and financial literacy programs, including K-12 mentoring, college mentoring, cross-age science teaching, and Junior Achievement. They also support health and wellness through track meets and guest speakers.
