Festival Music Society of Indiana, now known as Indianapolis Early Music (IEM), was founded in 1966. IEM enriches, educates, and entertains audiences with music from the Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, and early Classic eras. It is known for its annual summer Early Music Festival, a series of six concerts over four weeks.

Indianapolis Early Music, originally known as the Festival Music Society, presents early music concerts, bringing together audiences and performers from North America and Europe. They enrich the community by showcasing music from the Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and early classic eras.
