First Street Gallery, founded in 1969, is a non-profit, artist-run gallery in NYC's Chelsea art district. Originally focused on figurative art, it has broadened its scope to embrace diverse styles and mediums. The gallery is committed to nurturing, educating, inspiring and challenging artists through innovative programming, community outreach, and exhibition opportunities. It hosts member and nonmember shows, competitions, and invitational exhibitions.
