Friends of Czech Greenways, founded in 1994, promotes sustainable tourism and environmental/cultural preservation along Czech Greenways. Founded by Lubomir and Tiree Chmelar, it supports ecotourism via presentations, tourism information, and special projects like cultural exchanges with Hudson River Valley Greenway. They also develop Greenways for Central Europe.
Mission
Friends of Czech Greenways promotes the Czech Greenways program and ecotourism along the Prague-Vienna Greenways. They facilitate cultural and professional exchanges and mutual understanding between people of the Czech Republic and the United States, while also working to preserve the environment and cultural heritage.
