Founded in 1995, Friends of Duane Park is dedicated to restoring, preserving, and beautifying Duane Park and other public spaces in Tribeca. The organization fosters community by promoting education, outreach, programming, and gardening. Originally formed by neighbors dismayed by the park's neglect, they successfully redesigned the park, creating a green space for rest and recreation.
