Friends of Harkness Memorial State Park, founded in 1994, is dedicated to restoring, preserving, promoting, and protecting Connecticut's Harkness Memorial State Park. They focus on maintaining the Harkness Estate and upholding the wishes of Mrs. Harkness. Through membership, volunteer efforts, and donations, they work to preserve Eolia Mansion and its historic gardens.
Mission
The Friends of Harkness is dedicated to preserving EOLIA mansion and its historic gardens through membership dues, volunteer efforts, and donations. They coordinate with the CT Department of Energy and the Environment to maintain, preserve and protect Harkness Memorial State Park for the public’s enjoyment.
