The Friends of the Punta Gorda Charlotte Library, founded in 1978, champions library usage and appreciation. They fund media collections, children's, teen, and adult programs, and provide essential library resources and improvements. Funds are raised through memberships, events, a bookstore, and donations, benefiting the entire Charlotte County Library system.
Mission
The mission of the Friends is to promote awareness of, appreciation for and the use of the Punta Gorda Charlotte Library. To accomplish these goals, the Friends raise money through membership dues, special events and the Friends Bookstore.
