Founded in 2006, Friends of the Child Advocacy Center of Frederick County supports the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) by raising funds and awareness to prevent child abuse and neglect. This all-volunteer organization provides resources for young survivors and their families, promotes community education, and supports CAC programs, ensuring children have opportunities to heal and rebuild their lives. They serve over 400 children a year who have experienced child abuse, sexual assault, or child neglect.
Mission
Friends of the Child Advocacy Center promotes zero tolerance for child abuse and neglect and supports the work of the Child Advocacy Center of Frederick County (CAC). The CAC provides a child-friendly facility for children and families of abuse.
