Friends of the Mad River, founded in 1990, is dedicated to stewarding the Mad River Valley’s healthy land and clean water. This member-supported nonprofit builds partnerships to restore and enhance the watershed. Their work includes education, conservation, and community engagement through programs like Ridge to River, Storm Smart, Planting Trees, Keeping Water Local, Mad River Watch, and Flood & Fish Friendly Roads.
