Friends of the Pinellas Trail, founded in 1990, supports and enhances the Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail. The organization formed to promote public support for the linear park concept after a tragic accident in 1983. They provide amenities and advocate for the trail, which offers a unique greenway for recreation and connects communities.
