Friends of Westport Parks and Recreation, founded in 2010, enhances, preserves, protects and promotes Westport's Parks and Recreation facilities. As a public-private partnership, they raise funds for projects and services that might lack taxpayer support. Noteworthy projects include Cliff's Place at Longshore Golf Course and support for Wakeman Town Farms. They also have a tree program.

The Friends of Westport Parks and Recreation enhances, preserves, protects, and promotes the Town of Westport's Parks and Recreation facilities. They partner with the Town for the enjoyment of present and future generations of Westport residents.
