The GWHS Alumni Association provides grants to teachers and coaches for classroom supplies and student activities not funded by the school district.
Scholarships and Awards
The Alumni Association provides scholarships and Principal Cup awards to graduating seniors to help with college costs.
Life Skills Program
Supports financial literacy, driver training, and expanded health education through the Strategies for Success program.

The George Washington High School Alumni Association, founded in 1951, supports GWHS in San Francisco by providing grants for classroom supplies, student activities, and teacher enrichment. They award scholarships to graduating seniors, connect over 6,800 alumni through news and events, and honor distinguished alumni. The association also preserves GWHS' history through interviews and archives.

Ensuring GWHS' status as San Francisco's leading comprehensive public high school, the alumni association enables faculty to provide all students with opportunity for academic success and strengthens graduates' bonds with each other.
