About
The Germantown Historical Society, founded in 1974, preserves the history of Germantown Township, WI since the 1830s. It manages the Christ Church Museum of Local History, the Valentine Wolf Haus (Genealogy Resource Center), and the Bast Bell Museum in Dheinsville Settlement. The society offers tours, research, and programs. Its genealogy committee maintains a large index file, and its annual Oktoberfest is a key fundraiser. The Society works to preserve historical buildings and artifacts.
