Ghent Area Ministry (GAM), founded in 2000 by 15 Ghent neighborhood churches, serves Norfolk's marginalized, low-income, and homeless residents. Through partnerships with faith communities and volunteers, GAM provides compassionate assistance, meeting the needs of the poor with dignity and faith. GAM envisions a dynamic resource center that assists people in need and evolves to better serve the community.
Mission
Ghent Area Ministry provides compassionate assistance to Norfolk's marginalized, transitional, low-income and homeless residents through partnerships with faith communities and volunteers. They meet the needs of the poor, distressed, and underprivileged with dignity and faith.
