The Gillespie County Economic Development Commission (GCEDC), formed in 1989, encourages and promotes managed economic development in Gillespie County. GCEDC addresses affordable housing, labor force issues, water, agricultural and environmental concerns, and supports initiatives like the Texas Center for Wine and Culinary Arts.
