About
The Gunnison Valley Observatory, founded in 2002, provides public access to astronomy. Featuring a 30-inch telescope, it offers lectures and viewings. It started with a vision to boost science tourism and now offers astronomy education and supports amateur astronomers, providing research facilities. Open to the public on Friday and Saturday nights, it is managed by volunteers.
