Harvard Model Congress, founded in 1986, is the nation's oldest government simulation conference run by Harvard undergraduates. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit, it teaches high school students about American government through role-play and simulation, fostering civic engagement and leadership skills. Students engage in debates, caucuses, and hearings, appreciating the political process. HMC provides a supportive environment with well-researched briefings and diverse committees.
Mission
Harvard Model Congress is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit dedicated to providing an enjoyable and instructive atmosphere in which to develop a commitment to and interest in American government and civic engagement. Their primary goal is to teach and inspire the leaders of tomorrow.
