About
Heartland Youth Choir, founded in 2003, cultivates musicianship and character in youth aged 4-18 through choral music. Offering six choirs, HYC provides performance-based programs, musical literacy, and diverse musical exploration beyond school settings, impacting the Des Moines community and beyond through regional, domestic, and international tours.
Mission
Heartland Youth Choir develops musicianship and builds character of youth through the rehearsal and performance of quality choral literature. They provide a unique opportunity for children of diverse backgrounds to explore their interest in vocal music beyond their school setting.
