About
The Watertown History Museum, formerly the Watertown Historical Society, was founded in 1945 to collect and preserve local history. Originally Wooster-Westbury, Watertown was incorporated in 1780. From 1968-2016, the museum was located on Deforest Street. Now at 401 Main Street, the museum's goal is to preserve Watertown's history across all districts through documents, artifacts, research, and digital collections.
