Ilankai Tamil Sangam provides a meeting ground for Tamils and Tamil-speaking people from Sri Lanka in the United States, promotes Tamil culture, language, and music, fosters the growth of art, culture, human rights, and the welfare of Tamils in Sri Lanka, and publicizes facts about the condition and welfare of Tamil-speaking people of Sri Lanka.
