The Improved Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks of the World (IBPOEW), founded in 1898, is the largest Black fraternal organization in the world with over 500,000 members. They practice charity, promote harmony, and provide charitable services. The Elks sponsor educational programs, youth summer camps, and community service activities. Their mission is to improve self-esteem and contribute to the economic, personal, and academic advancement of the African American community.
