Independence Conservancy, founded in 2000, is dedicated to protecting the land, water and wildlife of the Raccoon Creek Region in Southwestern Pennsylvania. This volunteer-based organization focuses on projects such as Raccoon Creek Recovery, AMD Treatment Systems, streambank restoration, watershed cleanup, and invasive plant suppression.
Mission
Independence Conservancy protects the land, water, and wildlife of the Raccoon Creek Region in Southwestern Pennsylvania. As the first and only land trust based in Beaver County, they are an all-volunteer organization dedicated to watershed conservation, land reclamation, and natural resource preservation.
