The Independent Day School (IDS), founded in 1961 in Middlefield, CT, is a co-educational private school for preschool through middle school. IDS provides a challenging academic environment emphasizing individual capabilities and a love of learning. The school sits on 33 acres with a performing arts center, science labs, library, art studio, and gymnasium. IDS offers programs for Early Childhood, Lower School, and Upper School students.
