The Irish Memorial, founded in 1993, commemorates the over one million Irish who died during the Great Hunger (1845-1850) and the millions of Irish immigrants who found freedom and prosperity in the United States. Located in Philadelphia, the memorial is a national monument opened in 2003.

The Irish Memorial is dedicated to the memory of over one million innocent Irish people who died during the years 1845 to 1850. It also honors the millions of Irish immigrants who found freedom, liberty, and prosperity in the United States.
