The Joseph A. Ferko String Band, though incorporated in 1983, was founded in 1922. A perennial participant in Philadelphia's Mummers Parade, the band entertains audiences with music and elaborate costumes. Founded by Joseph A. Ferko, the organization has a long history, with well over one thousand men having proudly marched behind its banner.
