Kai Elua Outrigger Canoe Club, est. 1978 in San Diego, offers paddling programs for all, from novices to experienced racers. This non-profit promotes ocean sports and Hawaiian culture through racing, community events like beach cleanups, and a youth program (Keiki). They host the annual Outrigger Iron Championships and Oceanside to Mission Bay run.
Mission
Kai Elua Outrigger Canoe Club raises community interest and participation in Outrigger Canoe Paddling to preserve the historic traditions and to foster national and international competition in the amateur sport of Outrigger Canoe racing.
