About
The Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra Association, established in 1967 (originally as The Society for the Friends of Music), brings musical enjoyment and education to the Kankakee area. The KVSO's mission is to promote interest in good music and coordinate symphonic and ensemble music. The KVSO Association includes the KVSO Board, Youth Symphony, Women’s Board, and the KVSO Foundation, all working to sustain the orchestra.
Mission
Established in 1967, the Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra was founded to share the joy of music. Volunteers invest their time and talents to sustain the Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra and ensure its future in the Kankakee River Valley.
