Founded in 2005, the Kansas Youth Empowerment Academy (KYEA) educates, mentors, and supports youth with disabilities, empowering them to be active contributors to their communities. KYEA achieves its mission through programs like the Kansas Youth Leadership Forum and Disability Education Programs, fostering leadership and employment skills. KYEA opened its doors in October 2005 with funding from Kansas Rehabilitation Services and the Kansas Legislature.
Mission
KYEA educates, mentors, and supports youth with disabilities to become contributing members of their community. They empower youth with disabilities, helping them develop essential leadership and employment skills.
