About
The Katonah Fire Department, a 100% volunteer organization since 1874, provides 24-hour emergency response to the Katonah community. Founded on necessity, they have a rich history of service, including assisting NYC after 9/11. The department focuses on fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and community support. KFD also has a Length of Service Program (LOSAP) that guarantees a monthly pension at age 65, provided members accumulate 15 years of active service.
Mission
The Katonah Fire Department is dedicated to providing the best, fastest, and safest emergency services to our community. They also focus on public fire and life safety education and host numerous community outreach events.
