The Kelleys Island Historical Association (KIHA), formed in 1980, preserves and shares the island's history. KIHA achieved its initial goal of purchasing the Old Stone Church in 1986, a German Reformed Church built in 1865. KIHA opened a museum in 2010. Its mission includes operating a museum, restoring historical sites, publishing historical materials, and providing educational resources to the public.
