Kids On The Rise, founded in 2003 after evolving from the SMILE program (est. 1991), matches caring adult mentors with children facing challenges. Serving around 55 students in Cumberland County, TN, they foster intellectual, social, and creative development, facilitating responsible adulthood. Mentored students show improved self-esteem, school retention, and reduced risky behaviors. Funded by grants and donations, KOTR helps students thrive.
