After 42 years, the Killington Music Festival, a non-profit in Rutland, VT, closed its doors. Founded in 1985, the festival offered a summer program providing classical music instruction to aspiring young students. The festival brought together musicians and faculty in a program of chamber music study, master classes, and performances. Student interest declined, leading to its closure despite community support.
