The Kiwanis Club of Southport-Oak Island Foundation, founded in 2003, serves the youth of Brunswick County, NC. Through educational and leadership programs and scholarships, Kiwanis empowers communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in children's lives. They support reading, tutoring, robotics, and character development, and offer Service Leadership Programs. Kiwanis actively supports community programs like Teen Court and First Tee, and provides resources to organizations such as New Hope Clinic and the Interfaith Food Pantry.
Mission
Kiwanis empowers communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children. They strive to be a positive influence in communities worldwide, so that one day, all children will wake up in communities that believe in them, nurture them and provide the support they need to thrive.
