Lakeside Pride Music Ensembles, tracing its roots back to 1979, is Chicago's premier family of LGBTQ+ music groups. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, it provides a diverse musical outlet through its Jazz Orchestra, Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Pops Ensemble, and various chamber groups. It offers LGBTQ+ musicians and allies a welcoming space to express themselves, perform, and represent their community, supported by ticket sales, grants, and donations.
