Leah Stein Dance Company, founded in 2001, creates site-specific performances honoring individuals, communities, and a sense of place. Collaborating across disciplines, they explore the intersections of body, sound, and site. LSDC has performed at Fairmount Water Works, Eastern State Penitentiary, and internationally. They also run ARTroomstudio, fostering a vibrant community of artists and offer outreach programs for youth, seniors, and the dance community.
Mission
LSDC makes dances to honor the individual, the collective and to enliven a sense of place, collaborating across disciplines to investigate body, sound and site. The ARTroomstudio fosters a vibrant community of artists in Philadelphia dedicated to creative practice, research and performance.
