The Literacy Connection, founded in 2004 in Elgin, IL, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping adults in the northwest Chicago suburbs improve their English literacy skills. They offer free one-on-one and small group tutoring in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension. Their programs include adult volunteer literacy, conversation groups, family literacy, and workplace literacy.
