Literacy Council Gulf Coast, founded in 1990, improves English literacy in Southwest Florida. They offer free instruction to adults and children, including ESOL, citizenship, and GED prep. Programs like Moms and Tots and Kids + Lifelong Learning serve families. In 2022-23, they taught 1,737 students from 45 countries, enhancing lives and the community.
Mission
They assist adults and children to acquire the English literacy skills and education necessary to improve their quality of life and enhance the entire community.
