Literacy Volunteers of Orange/Athol (LVOA), founded in 1975, offers free, confidential tutoring to adults and youth (16+) in basic reading, writing, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Volunteer tutors provide individualized instruction to help students achieve their goals, from obtaining a driver's license to pursuing citizenship. LVOA also runs Books for Babies, promoting early literacy.

Literacy Volunteers of Orange/Athol empowers adults in the North Quabbin region to improve their reading, writing, and English speaking skills through free, private tutoring. They help students achieve their goals, such as obtaining a driver's license, applying for jobs, reading to their children, and pursuing further education.
