The Lithuanian Museum of Art, founded in 1989 in Lemont, IL, is dedicated to preserving Lithuanian culture through art. It hosts lectures, concerts, exhibits, and classes. The museum's collection includes paintings, graphic art, wood sculptures, textiles, and folk art, showcasing both native and emigrant Lithuanian artists.
Mission
Committed to the preservation of Lithuanian culture, the Museum sponsors lectures, concerts, poetry readings, art exhibits, and art classes. The art museum houses Gallery “Soul” (galerija “Siela”), a concert hall with a permanent art collection; folk art; a permanent wood carving exposition; a professional ceramic studio which holds art classes and camps for kids; and a cozy reading room/lounge.
