About
The Lithuanian Research Center (LRC) in Chicago is a non-profit dedicated to preserving and promoting Lithuanian heritage. Established in 1981, it is the largest academic institution, archive, and book publisher outside of Lithuania. The LRC collects Lithuanian heritage materials, conducts research, publishes academic works, and organizes exhibits. It collaborates with libraries, research centers, and universities worldwide to promote Lithuanian culture and scholarship.
Mission
The Lithuanian Research and Studies Center collects, compiles, and fosters Lithuanian heritage and archives. They research the housed materials, publish academic articles and books, and organize exhibits to familiarize the public with their collections.
