The Lord Wedgwood Charity, est. 2002, fights sudden cardiac arrest. Founded after Lord Wedgwood's heart attack, it places AEDs in schools and communities, raises awareness for pre-screening, and supports research. They've donated over 450 AEDs and EKG devices, saving at least five lives. They also provide CPR training and fund research.
Mission
The Lord Wedgwood Charity's mission is to fight sudden cardiac arrest by raising awareness about public access defibrillation and pre-screening for young athletes, providing AEDs in communities and increasing the importance of pre-screening in young athletes. Their purpose is to raise funds to organize athlete pre-screenings and provide AEDs in strategic community locations.
