LA CAUSA, founded in 2005, empowers disenfranchised youth and families in East Los Angeles. This youth leadership and community development organization coaches youth through self-empowerment. LA CAUSA helps them address important issues, earn diplomas, participate in leadership, develop critical consciousness, and gain skills to transform their communities. They offer vocational training in media literacy, computer technology, and sustainable residential construction.
Mission
LA CAUSA engages disenfranchised young people and their families from East Los Angeles to act against injustices impacting low-income communities of color. They foster a commitment to social justice and nurture skills to act as agents of resistance and community transformation through inclusive programs.
